Cookie notice
Feed Vault Drift Pte. Ltd. · Effective 13 August 2026
This notice describes how feedvaultdrift.pro uses cookies and similar browser storage. It complements our privacy notice. Chalk Ledger uses a full-width bottom consent bar with button order: Reject all, Customise, Accept all — so you can dismiss optional categories before accepting.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Local storage entries serve a similar purpose for remembering consent when cookies are blocked. We use them sparingly — this is an archive site, not an advertising platform.
How we obtain consent
On first visit, the bottom banner appears with three actions. Reject all stores essential-only consent. Customise opens the preference panel where you toggle functional and analytics categories independently. Accept all enables functional cookies (maps) but keeps analytics off by default in our implementation — you must explicitly enable analytics in Customise if we deploy measurement tags in future.
Consent is stored in cookie sg_news_consent_v16 (Max-Age 15552000 seconds, approximately one hundred eighty days, Path=/, SameSite=Lax) and mirrored to localStorage key cookie_consent_v1 when available. JSON payload includes version, essential, functional, analytics flags, and timestamp.
Categories
Essential
Required to remember your consent choice and maintain basic site operation. Cannot be disabled via our banner without breaking preference memory. No advertising use.
Functional
Loads embedded Google Maps on pages when enabled. Without functional consent, map regions may show a placeholder until you accept or customise. Maps may set their own cookies subject to Google policies.
Analytics
Off unless you enable it in Customise. If enabled in future deployments, helps us understand aggregate page use without selling data. Current build keeps analytics false on Accept all.
Cookie table
| Name | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| sg_news_consent_v16 | Essential | Stores consent JSON (v1 schema) | 180 days |
| cookie_consent_v1 (localStorage) | Essential | Backup consent record | Until cleared |
| Google Maps cookies | Functional | Map tiles and embed functionality | Per Google policy |
Managing preferences later
Use the Manage cookies button above or clear site data in your browser. Clearing essential consent will show the banner again on next visit. Functional withdrawal removes map embed sources until re-enabled.
Browser controls
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies globally. Blocking all cookies may prevent the banner from remembering your choice and require repeated selections. Refer to your browser help documentation for private browsing effects.
Do Not Track
We do not respond to DNT signals with a separate mechanism; optional analytics remains off unless explicitly enabled in consent JSON.
Updates
Material changes to categories or cookie names will be posted here with a revised effective date. We may increment consent cookie version when schema changes require re-consent.
Relationship to PDPA
Cookie data that identifies or can be linked to an individual may constitute personal data under the PDPA. Our privacy notice explains broader processing. Consent withdrawal for non-essential cookies does not affect lawful processing of server logs for security where those logs are not used for profiling.
Third-party embed behaviour
Google Maps may set additional cookies when functional consent is granted. We do not control those cookies. Review Google's privacy documentation if you need detail on map embed processing. Disabling functional consent prevents our site from loading the embed source until you re-enable the category.
Testing and audit
We periodically review cookie names, durations, and banner behaviour against this notice. Internal audits check that Reject all leaves analytics and functional flags false, that Accept all enables functional only, and that Customise persists independent toggle states through Save preferences.
Session storage
We do not use session storage for tracking. Temporary in-memory state during banner interaction is not persisted beyond the consent write. Clearing site data removes both cookie and localStorage consent mirrors.
Historical consent versions
When the consent schema version increments, prior cookies may be ignored and the banner re-displayed so you can reaffirm choices under the new notice. We document version changes in the Updates section above.
Browser controls
Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent consent persistence and could require the banner on every visit. We document category names here so you can recognise our cookies if you export a browser cookie list for your own records. If you clear site data, both the cookie and localStorage mirrors of consent are removed and the banner returns on your next visit.
